The IIN identifies the card issuing institution that issued the card to the card holder. Maestro credit cards begin with the following prefixes: 50, 56, 57, 58, 59, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 60, 69.
The first digit of your credit card number is known as the Major Industry Identifier (MII). This represents the category of industry which issued your credit card. The MII for Maestro credit cards is 5 which means they belong to the Banking and financial category.
